"The Eye Alert post is my reaction to healthcare reform in the US. I am disappointed that healthcare reform, instead of focusing on saving lives and improving lives, is succumbing to corporate fearmongering and misinformation. The healthcare industry is the largest in the US, yet stands 30 million people - 10 percent of the population - without access to healthcare. 

We know that something has to be done about our broken (or non-existent) system or costs will continue to skyrocket and more and more people will be left without access to healthcare. It is a moral issue and a human rights issue, but it seems that the people who have stood up for it have been voted down by corporations and their lobbyists. It's a sad day in America."
